Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exchanges at the moment. Instead, we kindly ask you to return your item and place a new order for your desired item.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your By Malene Birger order. Therefore, we offer an easy exchange service within 14 days after you received your order.
To exchange items from your order, please contact us via email or give us a call. We will then happily order a new size or a new color for you. Please return the item/s you initially ordered to us as soon as possible but no later than the day you receive your new goods.
If you would like to receive an altogether different item, please return your order and place a new one. To learn more about returns, please visit our Returns section.
The same policy applies to discounted as well as full-priced items. Any exchanges shall be requested within 14 days of receipt of the order.
How much does it cost to exchange?
We do not charge extra for the item you wish to exchange, even if you have bought it on sale and the item has now gone back to normal price. You might experience a return fee depending on the return carrier you select in the return portal.
Exchanges for non-EU countries
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exchanges for customers in countries outside of the EU as we cannot send exchanges due to customs regulations.

I want to exchange a gift
If you want to return or exchange a gift, please send us the giver’s order details so we can help you with an exchange or a return. Please note that we can only help with exchanges of the same item. If you would like to return a gift, we can, due to security reasons, only make a refund to the giver’s bank account or credit card. If the giver sends us their written consent from the email address they used to place the order, we can arrange for a voucher you can use in the webshop.
Can I exchange my order in one of your stores?
Unfortunately, at this point, all items purchased in our webshop have to be returned to our warehouse in Hvidovre, Denmark as our stores currently are not set up for online exchanges.
